In the Dark Angels chapter would there be only ten normal chaplains, one for each company, or more?

Only nine chaplains. Scout Company has no chaplain IIRC.

I definitely think that there might be a few Interrogator Chaplains who stay at the bvase, though I don't know the ratio. Mybe there are 9 reg and 4 or 5 IC's, staying to deal with Fallen in the rock or going into the field when needed. However, I don't believe there is a definite answer.

As far as I know there are a few 'normal' chaplains with each company (1st through 9th) and a few that stay on the base and probably a few that are in the inner circle, that probably fight with the ravenwing or deathwing on occasion. I don't know where you could find a definitive answer.

All chaplains are interrogator chaplains in the DAs. All 10 companies have their own chaplain appointed to them and there are other chaplains that look after the holy places and relics within the Rock. So at least 12 and probably more would be my guess.

Scout companies have chaplains, it's a company standard they lack.
