Hi all,

I'm a longtime Warhammer Fantasy wannebe player, who has finally gotten to a place in my life where I could probably buy, paint, and play with an army - if only I had some people to play WITH! I've visited a couple game stores in Rhode Island but it seems that 40K and Wamachine/Hordes are bigger around here.... are there any regular Fantasy gatherings around? I guess I'd be willing to travel to nearby Massachusettes or Connecticut too.... is there a Fantasy scene in/near Boston?

Located in Abington, MA. A good chunk of the players are 40k but many play both.

It's still some time away but you could always check out Templecon, which will be hosted just outside of Providence this year. My GF and I had a blast last year at both the 40k and Fantasy tournaments run and will be attending again this year and met a lot of great players from the area. Unfortunatly we made the trip from NH so we didn't stay in touch but I do remember bumping into some chaps who played fantasy around the Somersett, MA area. Also if you don't mind a drive Gamenight.net is located on the cape and has a good fantasy following. Here are the links to Templecon and Gamenight so you can check them out.

We are a gaming group that plays at Off the Wall Games in Hadley, MA. We normally game Wednesdays starting at 3 and ending at 10. We have some devout Warhammer players, and we are also just wrapping up a Warhammer Escalation league, so you have some other new players to have a game with. I realize we are kinda far away, but I wanted to mention it

"Orkses never lost a battle. If we win we win, if we die we die fighting so it don't count. If we runs for it we don't die neither, cos we can come back for annuver go, see!"

I dig how in a setting where giant, muscled fungus men ride Mad Max cars and use their own teeth as currency, the concept of little engineering dudes with beards was considered a step too far down the aisle of silliness.
