A cold breeze pierces his flesh. Brother-Jaska and his Noise Marine squad fired volleys of high frequency blasts into the Khornate wave. But to no used, they reached Jaskas flank and tore him asunder. Gore and bloodied pieces of pink and black armor covered the snow.

A flurry of spiked, ancient drop pods rained down, the World Eater's turned around. Gleefully running towards the newcomers. A towering winged giant came screaming down, as he rose from the dust and snow hey saw he had Grey flesh a tonned human body and long silvery hair, two giant purple eyes looked down on them. Shadowbrand looked down at the mortals. The horde was silent as he drove a giant daemon glaive into their rank. Shadowbrand turned as his warriors just now emptied their drop pods their blue armor glowing in the snow.

"Lord.. Shadowbrand?" A noise marine studdered. "Yes Captain Immortal?" "The World Eaters have set up a gunline, stolen Whirlwinds cover the pass to where Eidolon is rallying the other Emperors Children." The Daemon smiled. "So they really have resorted to using loyalist scum tanks." The marines began their march in the cold. "Have the fool who made our pods miss the rallying point executed." Immortal gulped "Yes Lord Shadowbrand."

As they marched up a frozen hill, they saw more and more corpses. Deep down Shadowbrand had no care for the other Emperors Children, he only came to this battle to seek favor of his deity.
They reached a ruined building, inside not a rat stirred no sign of life from either force. The Daemon had to duck to enter the doorway. The brave warriors reached a underground passageway.
"Hmm If we go through here maybe we can reach the rallying point safer." "Whichever gets this over with I will be fine with." The Daemon protested. So they went down.

A group of Spawn and Possessed charged from the darkness. The hallways soon were loud with gurgled screams and high pitched whines. One of the Possessed drove their claws right into Shadowbrands chest. "Grahhhhh!!!!!" he picked up the twisted marine and tore him in two throwing the top half into the ranks of the damned. A blastmaster went off sending bits of twitching flesh flying around. "You sure this would be safer captain?" The Marine checked the corners with his bolter's searchlight. "Yeah... I'm sorry my lordship"

You realy want to avoid doing something like this. Its hard to find a place to describe your character, but this is not the way to do it.

Also, it looks like it has potential. But where are you going with it?

I kind of like that he doesn't have to crank it out into a book. This could be a short story on it's own with just the one battle once he adds more\finishes it up. Hint: Description, if needed at all beyond 'Towering Deamon Prince', comes when nothing else is happening.

@EF I'm not sure, after putting chaos aside I'm not sure I can brew any ideas out quite yet.
