Well, one year into 40k and I have managed to assume a super large IG force. Started at the tail end of 4th edition codex and loving the 5th edition. 40k is my first table top game. One of my friends played and told me to play. I refused then finally gave it. So why guard? Walked into the store having never played or seen a game of 40k. Looked at the figures, thought IG looked pretty normal and would be easy to paint. Saw they had "snipers" and thought how cool that must be.

Well, painting IG is a PAIN as there are so many models. Didn't realized that they would be super expensive due to the volume of troops you have to aquire. Not what I thought they would be but I grew into them. Oh, and the rattlings I saw... wow... not so awesome lol.

I am now selling them and moving on to a new army.

Welcome, loyal guardsmen!

I must say, my voyage into the realm of 40k started much the same. (Though i would later dabble in both BA and the lovely battle sisters). And in all that time, after all this years, my sniper has yet to kill ANYTHING. My basilisks on the hand...have. *evil grin*

Gotta get that-
Gotta get that-
Gotta get that BOOM!BOOM!BOOM!

Sorry, that song is both applicable AND stuck in my head at the moment. My army is utterly lacking in tanks. I rush forward (or sit back) with my masses of infantry and hope to heck that the heavy artillery clears the way.
