I got some feed back on an army list a few days ago there, and I tried it out in battle, so I thought I'd make a battle report to show you all how it went!

That was my army list, and I had no idea who or what I would be opposing. It turned out to be an ork speed freaks army! Nasty indeed.

I have tried time and time again to add images into my posts and I just cant get it to work, so Im just going to post the links. If anyone can correct it or give me advice, that would be good. Enjoy!


This was my army:



I rolled to choose the set up and got the higher dice, and chose to go first.

This was the army set ups:



Ork army: (left to right). 30 Slugga boys, Warboss and 5 nobs (2 PC's) in trukk, 5 koptas with BS only, 15 ard boys, 5 more koptas, 3 bikes with nob, 10 lootas, 7 bikes with nob.

Turn 1

Dark eldar:


Moved warrior squad towards hill, ran only 1" and didnt make cover. Haemonculi moved out 12" in position to place webway portals. Dark lance squad left, immobilised trukk, DL squad right killed one bike.

Orks:



Everything Moved and ran. Bikes killed haemonculus on right, Smaller squad killed 2 warriors from DL squad right, Both kopta squads killed all warriors stranded before the hill, lootas killed 2 more warriors from DL squad right and they flee 3".

Turn 2

Dark Eldar:



Webway portals deployed, wyches appear from left, 2x talos from right. Raider squad move out and kill only 3 ard boys, Dias of Decimation moves out and kills 1 kopta from left squad, DL right squad rally. Talos kills 2 bikes, other talos does nothing, (11 attacks in total!?!), wyches kill 6 slugga boys, 4 wyches die in return.



Orks:



All advance again, loota's blow up raider, ard boys finnish off remaining warriors (some good rolling!), koptas move in and kill a further 4 warriors from DL squad right, (they pass leadership), Koptas destroy Dias of destruction in combat, (no koptas killed), Talos kill 1 bike from each squad and wound an other bike, 1 Talos looses a wound, the other dies, Warboss joins combat with wyches who kill 1 nob, and then all die in return.







Turn 3

Dark Eldar:

Warrior squad with agoniser deploy by left portal and kill 3 orks, 1 kopta killed by DL warriors left, 3 more wounds caused by talos (1.5 bikes), then 2nd talos dies. Portal'ed warriors dont charge a they had fired splinter rifles, (my mistake!)

Orks:



Koptas and sluggas take out DL left squad, Other koptas finish off DL right squad, warboss take out Portaled warriors after loosing only one wound.



Oh dear! Very bad defeat for me. I will have to revise my tactics!

I should not have moved the initial warrior squad from their cover to begin with, and I should have moved the Dias to the left so that it would still have been in range of koptas, but not in range of their assault. Apart from that im not sure, maybe I spent too much time writing everything down and not paying attention to the game!

Hope this was interesting anyway.

Next time I will get better quality pics, and hopefully have a more interesting game with more scenery and larger armies.

You might want to edit to fix your pictures. Instead of providing the link to the gallery, insert the picstures in your post. You just go to the gallery, select your picture and scroll down to the part where is says "Share this image". Copy the text under the field titled "Forums:" and paste it into your post.

It makes the whole report flow better without having to skip between tabs.

agreed. good report but its pretty jarring to have to click on the link to get the pic. it's good to see speed freeks in action; it's been a while for me as i sold mine off last year.

Cheers guys, didnt know how to do that before cuz it wasnt clear which link to copy in the tutorial.
