I hear a fair bit of negative stuff about it, but I got it bundled with my Xbox 360 and Halo 3 and it's pretty damn good in my opinion. I think it's OK that Ensemble took a few liberties with appearances and it's a shame they didn't stay together to make more console RTS games. The controls have worked very well for me and the campaign is fun enough. Multiplayer has been a blast with my friends online. Love the epic battles that can occur with MAC blasts and Scarabs blasting things to bits.

Definitely one of my favourite games now. Who else liked it?

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.

This and ODST are the only halo games IMO that are even worth buying.

Im an RTS fan though, but yes a good CONSOLE RTS. It would have really been better suited for PC only, where they could really expand on what they had.

Then again stormrise is a brilliant RTS for console. Halo Wars was good, until you have done everything and are still wanting more. 7/10 from me

I didn't MIND it. I preferred doing skirmishes as Cutter, to be honest.

Dropping a butt ton of ODSTs into a Covenant base after cratering their defenses with Super MAC blasts? Epic.

But in the end, it just didn't flow well and it got upstaged by TF2 for my attention.

Don't get me wrong, it's not the best game, or even best RTS that I've ever played, but I apparently enjoyed it a lot more than a fair few other people.

I think the Halo setting is one of my favourites because I've literally read into it so much; yes, I own all the novels (except for The Cole Protocol, which I have yet to read), and I have folders full of artwork and articles on it on my netbook. Sad, isn't it?

Not really. Most of us have some form of universe we get involved in(40k, fantasy, LoTR, etc). The Halo one needs a bit more fleshing out, but it's pretty sweet.

You anxious for Halo: Reach?

I liked it. I don't see why every new game that comes out has to fall into one of two categories; the first being "The best thing ever", and the second being "Anything that does not belong in the first category is absolutely worthless". It was a fun game that I enjoyed and therefore served its purpose well.

Dakka. You need more of it. No exceptions.

What are you talking about? They're Space Marines, which are heroic. They need to be able to do all the heroic stuff. They fight aliens and don't afraid of anything. -Orkeosarus

It was an okay game on a console, however, I would have preferred it to be on the PC. I'm a diehard PC RTS guy.

@Cheese: The Cole Protocol is very good. I would recommend picking up a copy and reading it.
