I would really love to see how this played out but I have not kept up with the HH novels. Have they got this far in the story? If so was it a major part of the book or was it more "off panel/frame"?

Well it was quite a short section of the book, but quite detailed. It was all from the perspective of the Primarchs and the main characters so there wasn't really a sweeping view of the whole thing. Immensly enjoyable ^^

Not really, just a brief overview really. We mainly got to hear about Fulgrim and Ferrus.
Gav Thorpe has an audiobook out about some of the Raven Guard Remnants just after, due next year.

Yeah. RG is my favorite chapter and I am excited to see them get some ink, oh wait, yeah it is audio that is a bummer. I love RG and planning out some Iron Hands so I kind of figured I should read it. Thanks everyone.
