Does anyone know where plastic heavy Myrmidons can be picked up cheaply in the UK. Their US RRP is $29.99 (£17.86) and yet their UK RRP is £28.00.

It is currently cheaper to purchace them online in the US and have them shipped to your door than purchace them in the UK. I should add that stocks of plastic heavy Myrmidons are also very low in the UK and even more so in mainland europe.

They do seem hard to get in europe... :(

I bet it has to do with bad logistics.

Don't know where I read it, but I believe the products are shipped from china to America (shipping cost and importrights are paid). Then from america they ship it to the UK/Europe. (Where again the shipping cost and importrights have to be paid). In the end we pay the high price retail...

I will try to see if I can find where I read this procedure, but I think it is somewhere on the PP-forums...

PPS Jack had this to say on PP's forums:

We have not adjusted the MSRP of plastic kits in relation to any of our other models for sale in the U.K. However, what I believe you are experiencing is retailers charging over MSRP to make up for the loss they experience from the cost of shipping the product from the states.

Privateer Press is fortunate to have partnered with Cerberus in Liverpool which allows us to avoid major duties and taxes that are charged for exporting goods to your shores. Unfortunately, Cerberus only has the capacity to make metal models and this means that our plastic kits must be shipped from our warehouse to E.U. distributors. The added expense cuts into Retailers’ profits and many are charging over MSRP to make up for this loss.

We are working on finding ways to reduce the shipping costs as much as possible, but due to the smaller profit margin on plastics, it seems that players outside of the U.S. will continue to see a disparity of pricing between plastic kits and metal, as well as a disparity between what different retailers are charging for the same plastic kit.

The facts would seem to indicate that Warjack sales are so low in the UK that it simply isn't worth PP's while to ship over a small consignment by sea or air.

Stick with mail order from the US.

Maelstrom has them (and the Retribution one) for pre-order at less than £20. It looks like this got sorted.
