Games Workshop's November calendar has a long list of fun events for Warhammer and Warhammer 40,000 in game stores all around the globe. An annual tradition in the US is Tanksgiving. Tanksgiving is a massive tank battle that gives hobbyists a chance to show off their budding or enormous collections of 40K tanks. Each store handles it a little bit differently given their own creative ideas and space limitations. Please contact your local GW or participating independent store for exact details of their specific Tanksgiving event.

For example, this year, the Baltimore Battle Bunker in Maryland is trying to assemble 5,000 tanks for the main Tanksgiving event starting at noon on November 28. That's 5,000 tanks, not points, TANKS. If you want to help try and set a record for the most tanks ever in a GW store event, this is your chance. It is hoped that treadheads from all over the Mid-Atlantic region will assemble for this event. The Baltimore Battle Bunker in Maryland is running the event on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Friday and Sunday events are provided mostly for those who cannot make it on Saturday, but people can participate in more than one if they like. Same event is happening at the LA BattleBunker. I dont remember their goal but I dont believe its a 3 day event... just saturday nov 27th

Will you be able to attack other stores like last year?

from what the guy at my bunker in chicago told me is that its the LA bunker versus the Chicago bunker in a super pew pew tank battle (essentially how he described it )

He might just be trying to say their seeing who gets more tanks... and Im sure they will do the *hey im calling you from ____ Bunker and... well You just got hit with a vortex missle 32" from side and 12" from front... What it hit a warlord? oh thats too bad...."

The Maryland Area GW's are trying to see if any of them can get 1000 tanks/MC's/Vehicles to particpate. (according to Ryan the Regional Manager. I believe he's counting Super Heavies as 5.)

I'll be participating at the Battle Bunker so that there's no limit on the number of tanks I can bring. Most smaller stores by necessity are limiting the amount of points of tanks people may bring, but the Bunker is looking to break a record on Saturday and players cannot bring too much.

My plan is to bring roughly 25 tanks and at least 4 of them will be Baneblade variants. My son will be bringing more than 20 tanks from his various armies and a friend of mine is planning to bring about the same amount, so the three of us alone will be supplying about 75 models.

I've just seen the list of activities going on at the Glen Burnie, Maryland Battle Bunker for the whole 3-day Tanksgiving weekend and it's massive. Lots of fun light activities, Dreadnought duels and tons of other fun stuff. Tanksgiving on Saturday begins at 1 PM. Cant make it to mine in WA. Our store is small but were gonna give it our best! I dropped off my MC's for them to use though. (They are in good hands)
