Alright, so I finally got the cash to buy myself some Skaven like I had intended to.

So, I decided to grab myself some Clanrats, Cause they are just awesome. I'm gonna simply cut to the case with minimal crap so it doesnt get as cluttered as my previous Ork thread.

So, First off. We've got an assembled Clanrat regiment with banner and musician. Kinda disappointed that the musician is just ringing a bell. Why not a drum or... An accordion?



Theres always room foor conversion fun later I guess. But for now we've got what was given and i'm just painting for now.

So, Now it just comes down to coloration, I'm thinking of having blues for their clan colors on these guys. And they'll be more furry than your average skaven, I'm not too fond of the near naked look of skaven in terms of fur, Lol.

We'll see what I can whip up tommorow, I think i'm gonna enjoy painting these guys. Gonna be a lot easier than WH40K orkz, thats for sure.

Not so much detail, bumps and dips as ork models have.

Any ideas are appreciated! Toss them my way.

Ookay, so i've finally come back to painting again. Got carried away with my banner holder skaven and here I am typing and posting... Its 4:30 AM. Lol



Here he is so far, with the Clan Symbol. Curious what you guys think of it. I'll have to get better pictures soon, I also need to finish the other side of the banner, lol

The detail on the painted side of banner looks great I must say. The ragged and bloody edges fit in great. Clan symbol is funky.

So far, so good, I forgot to cut the moldlines on one of my skaven though, ugh. Oh well!

Are you just using modelling grass? You should put some sand on that to give it a "natural" look.

Modelling grass is the only stuff I have at the moment. I have to order it in from a few provinces over since my town is too boring to house a hobbyshop.

I'll slip some into my next order.

Haha, Well, we do have beaches at the lakes here, but everythings covered in 3 ft of snow at the moment.
