So I opened a Devastator box that I bought from my local game shop (which is an hour away) last week and it was missing the small front portion to the heavy bolter that completes the muzzle. It is bizarre and to my knowledge, unprecedented i know. I have contacted GW twice over the last week and heard nothing. First I asked if they could send me the bit (it is just a little bit, not like I asked for a new heaby bolter, that would sound fishy), then I said if honesty was a factor I would send them all the bits I had for it if they would send me a complete one. Still have not heard anything, at this point I am doubting I will. It is very discouraging that I am missing such a small but significant bit and it is holding me back from using one of the weapons I bought it for.

Does anyone have any experience with GW in this regard or does anyone have this little bit lying around? Any help will help!

That's odd, since whilst I'm not fond of many things about GW, they are usually tops for just replacing items, often without even having the original returned.

They're usually pretty hot on replacing damaged parts. Try taking a photo and emailing that to them.

Calling Customer Service is more effective in this regard than emailing, in my experience. Both work, but calling is faster.

I have recieved two items with missing bits. Both times I just sent them an email and they had it fixed asap. They just usually want the upc code so they can figure out what batch it came from.

I'd just call GW customer service. They always fix the problem, from what I've seen over many years dealing with them. They also encourage shops to help fix problems immediately. If someone brings a bad product in, I fix it, usually by opening up another box or just handing them a new kit. I'll call it into GW and they ship me a new kit. You really shouldn't have a problem with it. Just call.

Same experience here. I bought a Battalion that was missing all the bases. By Friday (called Monday) I had all the parts I needed in the mail.

go back to the shop you brought the box from, any good retailer should replace the items.

Agreed. Got a whole new Land Raider simply because of a miscast on a sponson part. I was pleased. Just call them.

It could be worse, you could be on fire.

I bought a box of assault marines off ebay which turned out to have a partially crushed sprue, and GWS sent me a new box, no questions asked, and told me to keep the old partially crushed one. It was extremely fast. All the wanted were some numbers off the box.
