*yawn*

After forcing myself to play this demo for like 20 minutes, I can honestly say it is beyond disappointing. Well, for me anyhow. It's got nothing gameplay-wise over even the first God of War & stylistically it can't hold a candle to Bayonetta...

I had a bad feeling after the poor intro cinematics, especially the comic book style of the second half...however, I don't want to pass premature judgment on a title, so I would love for anyone to help me justify getting this over [or in addition to] either God of War 3 or Bayonetta!

Automatically Appended Next Post:
from the lack of interest in this thread, I will correlate a lack of interest in this title, and with good reason.

I got a 12-pack & decided to give this one another go [PBR can oft influence my perception of a game] & reached the same conclusion.

man, I sure hope that D. Jaffe got a cut of this title, because they did not even attempt to hide the fact that they cloned GoW [the first one, even].
It's almost as if someone @ Visceral had read Mr. Alighieri's [sp?] epic poem in high school, then in college took some development classes, then was tasked with ''make us something to cash in on the success of a hundred other hack-'n-slash games'' by a suit at EA?

Maybe nobody has an opinion because the 360 demo isn't out yet? I'll check back in a couple weeks, but man I think this is even below the tolerance threshold of Xbox owners!

I got this demo at the weekend just there, and I have to say I really enjoyed it. I've been followig DI with interest, downloading the developers diaries and such, and have been really looking forward to it.

Admittedly, I was a tad concerned with the start of the game (the whole Grim-Reaper battle) but was pleasantly surprised with everything after. Death by eyeball + crucifix merging, CHECK! Gratuitous boobage and spiritual intercourse, CHECK! Jesus-laser, DOUBLE-CHECK! Portrayal of a Bishop as a psychotic crazyman, CHECK!

ONce you start to acrue powers, the gameplay improves substantially, although as you say, it is a blatant GoW ripoff (if we want to get really technical, it is more akin to the Devil May Cry games, much like GoW before it)

However, the subject matter just totally hooks me, and combined with the fun hack 'n' slashery of it all, I really enjoyed the demo a definite purchase for me.

And I repeat again - JESUS-LASER!!!!!
