Little confused by Lexicanum today. Fluff says that the Savlar Chem-Dogs utilize Ogryns. Now, both troops of Ogryn Auxilia (Monglor and Krourk) fought at the Third War for Armageddon, as did the Chem-Dogs. I would think that those savage sorts of Ogryns would be the ones to support the Chem-Dogs. But, then again, Ogryns are also recruited for IG from Karrik in the Calixis Sector of Segmentum Obscura. My question is: does anyone know the distance relationship among Krourk, Karrik, and Armageddon? How long would it take, say, for a squad of Ogryns to be transported to Armageddon from either Krourk or Karrik? Fluff geography is driving me nuts, here haha

Phew, I don't think my brain could handle that much longer!
Thanks

Depends on how the Warp currents are really. It's hard to give a definate answer, because there's no set speed for the Warp. Ships can arrive at their destination before they even leave for it. They could arrive 400 or 500 years in the future, or even the past. They might get to a planet and the war that they set out to fight hasn't even started yet. Or, it's been over for thousands of years and they end up making the exit jump directly into heavily defended enemy space.

That's just how unstable the warp is.

I couldn't say, though most warp travel is (relatively) consistant. It doesn't have much to do with geographic relations, but things like populated planets affect the warpspace around them whereas unpopulated ones do not so much. Most jumps are messured in weeks or months however, and (almost) never does a warp jump take even one full year. Generally though, most ships make several "smaller" warp jumps for safety's sake.
Hope that helps some.

With orks, even too many is not enough!
