I'm not a huge fan of Warhammer 40k Obliterator models, so I've been looking for models I can convert. The Cryx Thrall Brute looks like a pretty decent base for an Obliterator model, but can anybody tell me how big it is compared to a 40k space marine? I know they're done at a 30mm scale instead of 28mm so it should be bulkier to begin with, but I want to make sure there's no chance of confusing them for regular troops on the table. I'm looking for something between a terminator and a dreadnaught size-wise.

I'm not like them, but I can pretend.

The base you see brute thralls on are 40mm if that helps with scale. I can't dig
out my Cryx minis at the moment. They are long buried somewhere in my house.

Wish I had my camera on me to help, but..

The Brute is roughly the same as a Terminator, a little bulkier and the pose is wider and hunched up a bit. I'm comparing a Brute to the plastic terminator that came in a White Dwarf I had laying around.

Hope that helps

Awesome - thank you!

The more and more I look at this miniature line the more I'm liking it. I see quite a bit of stuff that would substitute nicely for Warhammer 40k,
