The cup is back again for our brisk weather here in the winter.

Basic Rules
► Armies will consist of 1850 points using a standard force organization chart used throughout the event.
► The event will use the Warhammer 40,000 5th Edition rules.
► The 'What you see is what you get' rule will be in effect throughout the event for all models, this means Extra Armor and wargear/weaponry should be easily identifiable from your army list with little to no help.
► Painting - All models must be at a minimum primed that means no gray plastic or metal. Preferable models should be at a 3 color minimum but it is not required.
► The most up to date Adepticon INATFAQ will be used. Currently it is 3.1, however with the pending release of Tyranids it will most likely be updated. Available at http://www.adepticon.org/wpfiles/inat/INATFAQv3.1.pdf

Format
► Players will be split in groups (4-6 players depending on total number of players)
► The standard deployments from the 5th Edition rulebook will be used for most games (1 non standard deployment may be used).
► The first portion of the tournament players will complete 3 games vs opponents in their group.
► After all 3 games are completed the top two players from each group and a limited number of wild card players (determined by the total number of players) will move into a single elimination bracket (Shooting for top 8 ).
► Players with the most battle points after each game will move on in the single elimination bracket. Victory points will be used in the case ties for Battle Points.

Scoring
► Each game will have a total of 50 battle points split below.
► Two primary conditions each worth 20 points (10 for draw) & a single Tertiary Condition worth 10.
► The primary conditions are as follows
- 1. Use the annihilation standard mission from the Warhammer 40,000 Rulebook.
- 2. Place three objectives as the Seize Ground mission from the Warhammer 40,000 Rulebook before deployment zones are decided. Once deployment zones are decided and before forces are deployed each player places an objective in their deployment zone more than 10 inches away from other objectives, this will be the players 'Home' objective. The player controlling the most objectives at the end of the game claims this condition, if you control your opponents 'Home' objective it counts as two.
► Tertiary conditions are achievable by both players. Examples 1. Eliminate Opponents HQ choices 2. Eliminate opponents most expensive unit (dedicated transports are considered separate units) 3. Your most expensive unit is not fleeing/destroyed at the end of the game (dedicated transports are considered separate units). 4. Have one unit wholly in every table quarter at the end of the game.
► Victory points will be calculated at the end of every battle and recorded. These will be used to determine who would move on in the event of ties in battle points.

Awards - The part everyone wants to know.
► The entry fee will be split as follows and rounded to the nearest $5 increment.
-50% 1st place
-30% 2nd place
-20% 3rd place

Deadlines - When your stuff is due by
► Entry fee & army list are due by 5pm Sunday January 24th at Black Sun Games.
► Paypal is available please contact me by PM or by email VirusSD1@gmail.com Note this is not my paypal address.
► Paypal or emailed army lists will be due by Midnight January 23rd (preferably beforehand don't procrastinate to last minute!).
► Group section games will be played from January 25th - February 21st.
► Anyone who is unable to complete all three games within the time period I'd advise not to join.
► Single elimination bracket will be seeded according to battle point scores from group play (Highest will play lowest, etc).
► Single elimination bracket should be completed before mid March.
