Interesting stuff. I've got Fiona too but I haven't got round to figuring her out in MkII yet.

Looking over her abilities she's really out of her depth in battles with no infantry.

It was kind of a weird pickle for low-point games with my pirates. I don't have enough shooty jacks for Broadside Bart, and I haven't figured out Shae yet in terms of combos.

Shae is tricky in a low point game.

You could Coup de Main on the first turn to help the Commodore move 6"
instead of 3". He'll be working to cast Blow the Man Down when he needs
to.

Storm Rager on Hawk? Trouble is she only has two attacks.

Phantasm on the Commodore?

Yeah, this is tricky. Especially casting all those spells...

My regular pirate opponent plays:

Shae
Nomad
Buccaneer
Freebooter

Storm Rager stays on on Shae. This list fast and is very daunting when it gets in your face. Leg some thing over with the Buccaneer then trash it with the others, rinse and repeat. Shae stays well back unless he gets an opportunity to charge in and swing the battle personally

Or you could use the new merc contracts.

15/15 (remember that Renegades cost one less point each.) You could swap out Gorman for any of the available solos except Stannis Brocker.

nice batrep. good to see the small scraps going down.

i dont know what i would do at such low points, i would feel naked running shae without his beloved commadore. i just played with him today and beat a hard battle against gorten.

i find the pirate casters to be very interesting, and they have very different playstyles. Shae is a fast hitting caster that likes fast hitting troops. i run a freebooter with him, as well as sea dogs with mr. walls so they can benefit from no quarter. at 15 points i would prolly run shaoe with his cannon, a min unit of dogs with walls, hawk and prolly doc with a freebooter for a good push on feat turn.

fiona i would run her like you did, but i would prolly drop a booter for a min unit of dogs to get the free focus for them being cultists, and i try to keep back a kil more and snipe out targets as they come in.
