"Put him in Mycetic Spore with some DS Warriors and you've got yourself a ticket to objective taking Utopia." Hate to fault find first but the prime cant pod in with these guys.

Remember all the spore is a birthing sac, there born in it, the nids arrive after-birth first. All nids are born in a different from each other, thats how no-one can go in another broods pod, theve got different eggs/ sacs that they were born in.

I run a horde type nidz army and I find this guy works best with hive guard, yes he may not give them the ws and bs bonus but still, 3 of is best. This makes a solid anchor for your force.

I dont think he is the answer in a reserve based list and definitley not played like this.

My own personal choice for deep striking/reserving in this style of list would be the parasite with 15 gargoyles with the works, they work a treat for me everytime. I rarely reserve anything because i dont run a tyrant anymore, or lictors and wont do it with out the bonuses.

The most important thing about the Prime is the independent character rule, he can join M/C`s, then when half the unit is in cover all the unit is in cover. This last one seems a bit off to me but it seems to be right, you can do the same with the parasite as well.

As far as i`ve found these 2 are the best HQ choices in this book both in value and performance. The rest should only be used for apocalypse.
