I thought of a great idea,

When your on messenger, when you get a new message a window slides up from the bottom saying you have a new message.
why dont we have something like that on dakka?

so when you get a new PM it would have a box that would pop up from the bottom (this could probably be done with visual basic)

you get get people to download the exe and use it as a live refresher maybe?

Set it to give you email notices when you get PMs, and then there are lots of ways to be alerted when you get new emails.
