Spearhead & Capture and control

Eldar win dice roll and choose to go first. I deploy the avatar + Eldrad and bodyguards as close to the center as possible, with the wraithlords standing by for support. The guardians sitting on the home objective. The fire dragon serpent sits to the far left ready to zoom off, and the 2 DA serpents sit back a bit. The falcon sits at the top of the deployment. Blood Angles deploy the 2 rhinos as close to the center as possible with death company and dante behind them, as well as the dreadnaught. The bikes and veterns sit at the top most of the board behind cover. he combat squads one squad onto the objective. Corbelo sits inside one of the rhinos.

Turn 1 Eldar:
Fortune Eldrad + avatar, nothing else is in range to doom/guide. Avatar + Eldrad run forward around the center building. Falcon and 2 DA serpents both move 6" forward. Fire dragons move 12". Shooting is rather inneffective and sees one vetern go down, as well as both rhinoes are stunned.

Turn 1 BA:
Bikes advance forward from around the cover. The veterns jump over the cover in an effert to assault. Death company advances forward as well along with the dreadnaught. Shooting does nothing to my army. His veterns assault my avatar and he loses 4 models but holds his ground.

Turn 2 Eldar:
Again more fortune. Fire dragons move 6" and spin around and unload the cargo. The Falcon and 2 DA serpents again move 6" to take advantage of all 7 shots they put out. Wraithlords continue to advance. Guardians sit tight. Fire dragons epic fail on killing the dreadnaught and only manage to stun it which turns into shaken from extra armor. Shooting has one of the rhinos shaken. I believe I kill of one death company in shooting. I assault Eldrad into the vetern combat, which didnt matter as the avatar easily killed the other 2 off.

Turn 2 BA:
He unloads his 5 marines from the closest rhino, leaving Corbelo inside it. His death company jump across the building closing in on the avatar. His attack bike moved forward again stunning the falcon (down to shaken from spirit stones, and holo-fields saved an explosion). His marines assault my fire dragons and I lose one dragon in combat. His dreadnaught assaults my dragon serpent and easily wrecks it. My dragons fail their morale check (dam) but get away from combat falling a wonderful 11" (really close to board edge). His death company assaults only the avatar (he decided not to multi assault). He puts zero wounds on the Avatar and I kill 2 death company.

Turn 3 Eldar:
More fortune, I suffer double 1's but ghosthelm saves the perils from going through. My fire dragons cannot regroup because the dreadnaught is within 6" and I roll a further 10" putting them way off the board. Everything continues to advance 6". I move the bottom most DA serpent back so the dreadnaught cannot assault it. I start to focus my fire on killing his 5 marines on the objective and manage to knock off two. I also waste the assault bike infront of me. I manage to get some revenge shooting on the 5 marines who ran my dragons off the board and kill 2. He popped smoke last round on both rhinos and I believe that has me only shaking one again (they arent a threat anymore so I really stop shooting them). I assault his death company with eldrad and my warlocks. I kill a bunch of death company from eldrad and the avatar. Dante manages to live along with a few death company and sneaks 2 wounds on the avatar.

Turn 3 BA:
He disembarks his 10 man squad along with Corbelo and heads towards the combat. The dreadnaught continues towards my bottom lines. Shooting is really short this round as he doesnt have much shooting left. He does manage to wreck the bottom most DA serpent with a lucky melta shot from the dreadnaught. The DA disembark and pass their pinning test. In combat I kill the rest of his death company and I believe Dante is left with only a wound on him.

Turn 4 Eldar:
Double fortune goes up again. Everything just kind of readjusts to get some line of sight in. I focus more shooting on the 5 tac marines killing another. I glance the dreadnaught but roll bad on the table only shaking it. Assault continues and has dante die.

Turn 4 BA:
the 10 tac marines and corbelo head towards the Avatar. His 3 marines that killed my fire dragons also start heading that direction. The dreadnaught continues to head towards my lines. Shooting is almost none. He assaults his tac marines and corbelo into my avatar and warlocks. I do lose 4 warlocks as he put an enourmous amount of wounds on me. I return the favour and kill 4 marines. We tie combat and sit tight.

Turn 5 Eldar:
Shooting has all the marines on the objective die. My dire avangers run away from the closing in dreadnaught. Combat has his entire squad get killed and leaves only avatar with 2 wounds, eldrad unhurt, and 1 warlock.

Turn 5 BA:
Not much he can do at this point and he concedes.

Win Eldar 1-0

Thoughts: This is my "fun" elfzilla list I have been running recently (although I had to makeshift the extra 250 for a 1750 game as I usually play at 1500, which had me adding 2 warlocks, a 3rd wave serpent with 5 DA inside it. Otherwise its my fun 1500 list). Eldrad and Avatar and warlocks (even on foot) seem to be really hard to kill in combat and in shooting. Most people seem to ignore the rest of my army because of this threat (except for fire dragons, they always receive special attention ). Anyways it was a fun game, sorry I dont have real pictures, so the made up ones will have to do. Terrain is somewhat accurate to what it really was.

How should I know? I just live here!

Eldar ftw, very enjoyable to read.

If we shadows have offended,
Think but this, and all is mended,
That you have but slumbered here
While these visions did appear.
