Here is an idea for the Painting Service List in the Swap Shop. It's come up (again) that people are dissatisfied with HulkSmash- but in the Painting Service List, he has 3 positive reviews (tied for the most of anyone on there). I have also been dissatisfied with Donald / TableTop Games, but in the list he has a positive review from the first job I gave him (the negative experience was from the second).

So in effect, the painters that have been causing people trouble are listed in the Swap Shop as those people have had good experiences with! Someone just browsing the forum (and not searching for transaction reports) would not know about the negative experiences (or any drawback from using these services).

So I propose this:

In the Painting Service List, instead of having people post just a "+1", have them fill out, on a scale of 1-5, these Categories:

-Communication
-WIPs
-Timeliness (meeting the deadline set)
-Quality of Paint Job
-Overall Satisfaction with the Painting Service

These categories would not be cumulative- maybe a certain painter is so fast, they don't share WIPs. So they would have a 0 for that category, but maybe a 5 for Overall Satisfaction. Not all of these categories would have to be included, these are just ideas.

It creates extra work (again) for the SwapMods, though :-/. However, it could be minimal, as the "Painting Service List" first post would just need to be adjusted (or a new thread made?) explaining how to submit a painter review. The reviewer could also be encouraged to post pictures of what they had painted, if that was helpful.

This suggestion is going under review. We're obviously running into short-comings in the system that's in place right now, but that was always somewhat anticipated. We'll try to make some improvements to address these issues.
