Well I migrated to Warmachine from 40k. I still play WH, I just wanted a different system to have some fun with. That and the models are pretty well sculpted. Privateer Press models have always caught my eye. Some of the guys I play use PP's models in their Warhammer armies (necron lord etc.).

On a side note...how do the more experienced players feel about the plastic War Jacks? I am playing Cryx, bought a starter box and the plastic jack. I can say right off the metal one has a better look to it, but the plastic one still has a high standard. The cool thing about it is I have magnetized the arms and heads, so I can try out all the jacks and see which ones I like better.

I migrated from warhammer 40k about a year ago and at first I kept my army. But as time went on i actually never saw myself ever playing warhammer again. Dont get me wrong i love the 40k fluff and i still read and buy Dan Abnett, Sandy Mitchell, and Graham McNiel books. Heck I even run a Dark Heresy campaign, but i just didnt like the game mechanics, the over priced models (even though we were promised plastics would make things cheaper), the over priced book, and the vague rules that are not supported for answers, and the way codexs are released so that there is always some army that is outdated.

That said I was a little wary of the plastics coming out. However I purchased my decimator kit and loved the reduced time for construction. Glued mine in like 10 minutes after spending like five doing doing clean up. PP has always been good with thier metal line on it not having any flash or few mold lines, but the plastic make the mold lines easier to see. Thier is a concern about wieght but plastic models are pretty wieghty and with the purchase of the metal bases from PP online store this shouldnt be a problem. The quality of the model looks great especially after you paint it. When I pair my fully painted metal destroyer next to my decimator the quality and detail look the same but my decimator looks like an 8 ton walking machine of steel and fire. I think in the long run this will be a good thing especially if it goes to other mechs like the t-head and death jack. I was feeding my son, giving him a bath, and putting him to bed before I started on my decimator and got done at the same time as my friend did; who started working on his t-head way before then.
