Hey all,

Anyone seen that Xbox 360 has a game that came out with GW branding, Blood Bowl???

I picked it up a couple weeks ago and have to say, the game is great nastalgic fun if you've ever played any Bloodbowl campaigns in the past at a local store. They've done a pretty good job and have given quite a bit of flexability and control in the game. There are one off, campaign and league style of play. You can play multiple differen teams, progress the players, KO, maim and kill opponents, etc. Bribing the ref, bringing secret weapons (chainsaw wielding loony!) You name it. Chaos and Skaven both have mutations, elves jump all over the place and orks are downright mean.

I've been having a blast with the game in down time and wondering if anyone else is giving it a go.

I'd be interested in trying out the online components as thus far, I've only played locally against AI and on the EASY setting (lol)... which amazingly, is quite a challenge in the early stages and good fun once you gain some Star Player Points (SPP).

For those that are unfamiliar with the game, this may be a lot to take in. It would be like trying to learn 40K for the first time. It's a GW game with several tutorials that you really need to do, then there is a 'documentation library' for lack of a better phrase. All of this should be read to gain the most out of the experience and will propell you ahead in the learning curve. Sometimes it makes sense just to give a game a go (in quick match mode in this case) then go back and take the tutorials and read the documentation. Definitely do all the above before you play your first online match though, or you will be confused.

Also, the game has turn based play, and a more live action style of play. I'm most interested in the turn-based. This is true to the board game and similiar to the 40K of I-go-U-go method. It also allows for much more strategy and tactics to be used as positioning is uber important before you risk difficult actions and moreover, risk a turn-over result.

If you would like to hit me up on live for a Bloodbowl game (turn-based preferrably), and probably kick my butt, shoot me a live message. Gamertag: "Tactica"

Also, I have a pretty good knowledge of the game mechanics and technical terms of the game. This is by far one of the most strategic and tactical based games I've played. It will require some commitment to become fluent. If you have questions, post them here and I'll see if I can help.

Cheers,

Tac
