Anyone heard anything about The Big Waaagh for 2010, or if there will be one?

Or what happened to the guys that ran last year's? Cuz we never got shirts, and all that jazz....

I'm not sure who ran the overall event but the guys from CAWS ran the WHFB tournament (a successor of the former Hillbilly Invitational). I'm told by them that CAWS will not host a WHFB tournament this year while the members decide on what to do in the future.

Personally I miss the ole Hillbilly as it existed in Little Rock with Roy E. as the host. It was the best WHFB tourney in the country and many an army was built just for that event (and its Indy circuit cousins).

Automatically Appended Next Post:
I think the Huntsville Alabama Wargaming Society ran the 40K tournament.

You might try searching Dakka to see who posted news about the event in 2008 and 2009.

The secret to painting a really big army is to keep at it. You can't reach your destination if you never take any steps.

I build IG...lots and lots of IG.

Maybe they will rise up again next year. It's alway a good thing to have some variety.
