Gathering the Informations.

Space bar, punctuation, and spell-check are your friends.

But really, there's nothing we can say/do to make you stick to an army...even with background. That's something you need to do yourself with self-discipline and research. Look through the different Codexes. Go from there.

I don't know how it takes til 1500pts to figure out you hate an army. One thing that might help is buying only 2 troop selections + HQ (enough to field an army) , modeling/painting them completely, and playing a few games with them. That way you don't get too far into the army and find out you don't really like playing that particular race.

The other option I prefer is to go to a FLGS and watch some games with the race/army you want to start collecting. It allows you to see the army up close, hopefully painted, and see how they play. All without paying a dime.

No one can tell you what army you are going to find enjoyable. I personally love chaos and find them to have some really cool fluff, but another player may despise them. You just need to check out a few more armies and see which ones you like.

You could certainly use the ork rules to represent chaos cultists using beastmen models or something like that.

What is it in particular that you don't like about chaos marines? Is it the rules or the fluff? What made you decide to play chaos in the first place?
