Does this army exist? My group and I doesn't play Warmachine but we do play the RPG so we had been considering starting a Warmachine/Hordes faction each and slugging it out, but one of our Gobbers really wanted to play as Cyriss worshippers.

Couldn't find anything on the official website, and google gives me nothing but links to heavy metal when I put in "warmachine", so I just wanted to check if they existed - tucked away in some obscure rule book

Saddened on behalf of all the Ultramarines, Salamanders and White Scars players who got their Codex rolled into Codex: Black Templars.

Outside of the Iron Kingdom RP the Cult of Cyriss has little to no mention in the Warmachine or Hordes unfortunately. Maybe one day they shall be incorporated.

There's one mention that I know of-- the Squire is partly a result of Cyriss tech.

I wanna say Master Necrotech Mortenbra has some background with them, but I don't remember exactly.

That's right, Mortenebra was a member of the Cult of Cyriss before joining Toruk.

it would be possible to use cygnar units and rules for the faction. just make them specialised in a certain area. If the squire is their invention it is safe to say they use a lot of magic. (don't know a lot of the cult though, so the assumption could be wrong...)

I would think a list with a heavy magic caster and a lancer or 2, combined with a squire would be a good start. then add magic-like units as much as you can...

The problem with the cult of cyriss is that they don't really care about the current politics. They're just happy to do their own thing and try to keep it out of sight of others. Their goal is to invent and innovate rather than conquer or purge. Their main focus is to gain as much knowledge as possible and solve as many scientific mysteries as they can. They do use magic, but it's not necessarily at the core of everything they make. They utilize clockwork mechanisms rather than steam power. The closest you'd get for design/flavor is the Retribution. Cyriss-tech tends to be more compact and have a more "high-tech" feel to it. If you can find copies of the iron kingdoms character guide and the liber mechanika you can find a lot of information about Cyrissists, their goals, and their creations.
