I played the demo , and liked it alot.

Pros: Good weapon physics , game play is most amazing of any RTS i played.

Cons: They look like toys...

Mixed: The battles are gigantic , but that means i rarely have time to zoom in to view the detailed battles.

Meh. I don't plan to - was never a big fan of the first SupCom. Just not my type of game, really. I prefer (far less realistic) games where you can actually finish levels without buidling up a force of ~100+ units. As cool as the storyline seems to me, it's just not something I can get into.

Meh. The first game was a pretty dull RTS in my opinion. I'd much rather wait for Chaos Rising.

No. Nor am I getting Chaos rising. (sorry, but DoWII really killed the whole thing for me. That was a terrible example of GW catering to SM ZOMG noobs. )

It seems pretty balanced to me. Hormagaunts, Banshees and Slugga Boyz wreck Tacs/Scouts/Commanders in CC.

And I would interject my opinion on DoW2 here as well, but because it forces Steam down your throat I can never play it. *rage wells up once more*

First game looks boring to me might try this one.

The multiplayer sucked in DoW2 (Other than Last Stand, which is merely...bittersweet). The campaign was pretty awesome compared to the first couple of games, although I do miss the Risk style gameplay of Dark Crusade and Soulstorm.

Well i bought it , epic war is EPIC o_o

Enemy AI is very good... so good that i have to disable their nukes to give myself a chance lol...

Not to make you madder, but what's wrong with steam? If you don't play online you never have to see it. And it beats ing SECUROM.

Lol... Are you using the same Steam? Go on google and look up all the Steam horror stories from people who bought a game without knowing it required Steam to play. I was one of those people, once. Never again.

No worries with Steam here. My issue is games like DoW2 that required GFWL on top. GFWL is fine except it wants to update every two friggin' seconds rather than let me play my game.

I'm looking forward to SupCom 2. Total Annihilation is still in my top ten games, and whilst Supreme Commander wasn't everything I wanted it to be, I still love it.

Let's not let this devolve into a Steam-flame session. Or at least open another thread to do so... it sure is buggy sometimes, but as usual, the horror stories come from whining gits on dial-up connections. I hated it when HL2 came out for that reason, but the world has moved on.

Actually, much as I hate to derail the thread again (Sorry Firangi) I just want to ask, what happened to you and Steam? I've never had problems before other than Valve deciding to start testing out their servers for releasing online games roughly 5 minutes before they're scheduled to release them. Although Left 4 Dead 2 was only delayed an hour or two; the demo had to wait a few days after its scheduled date to get the pre-purchasers up and running with the game.

Hrm, don't want to derail the thread too much, so...what was/is the appeal of Supreme Commander? I recall it being very graphics heavy, which was a source of criticism, but I never found the game that much fun. Plus, as interesting as it was to have three human factions rather than human and aliens, I would've liked to see something more than just us.

At the moment I'm not interested enough to purchase a new 50 dollar game, but it at least inspired me to pull out my old Forged Alliance disc and play that a little.

Graphics definitely will not be a problem for me, but the game just seems to lack something that I just can't seem to place. It's looks somewhat entertaining, but it just doesn't get me hooked.

And I'm also curious about the issues with steam. I've never had a problem with them once.
