Overview:

The Knights Redemptio recently arrived in imperial space frome a crusaide in the emporers name only to find the galaxy in ruin. After being checked for taint by the inquisition, it was descoverd that their gene seed had been infused with the pariah gene, which makes them a valuable asset. The knights Redemptio were given premission to anchor over titan where they operate out of their Chapter ship. They work in close concert with the Grey Knights and other agents of the inquisition, although they do not take to kindly to the idea of a cult, they do see the imminent need to exterminate deamons.

Important People:
Supreme Commander Vicktor (counts as Marneus Calgar)

Commander Garrus (counts as Capt. Shrike), Leader of shadow company veterans

Commander Santiago (counts as Capt lysander), leader of the Terminator company

Commander Chiron (counts as K'sorro Khan), Leader of wolf company

Commander Savage, Master of the recrutes, Leader of the "Savage ones" vangaurd veterans

Commander Chrstian Mortis, Leader of Eagle company

Commander Gryphon Mortis, leader of Griffon company

AND MORE TO COME-

This is what I have so far, there will be more fluff, and stuff to come.

C&C welcome.

Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool or a coward. Whoever cannot take care of himself without that law is both. For a wounded man shall say to his assailant, "If I Die, You are forgiven. If I Live, I will kill you." Such is the Rule of Honor.

More important characters:

Dread-knight lord Sammael, oldest warrior in the chapter

Dread-knight Sariel, brother of Sammael, largest Dread-knight

Brother captain Gabriel, Grey knight captain sent to inspect the chapter

*Dread-knights are basically giant dreadnoughts that somewhat resemble GK terminators, as they carry a cc weapon in their right hand, and a twin-linked weapon ot the left wrist.

Curious.

Would you be using the different counts as commanders for specific mission and opponents? I would think that you would be better of picking one counts as character and fitting your fluff around their abilities (for the chapter as a whole) that makes it a bit more classy.

Fluff wise the pariah gene is found only in one in a billion or so individuals (something like that, I know its a LOT) anyone found with it is taken by the administration and either killed or turned into a Cullexus assassin. The pariah gene makes people uneasy around anyone with it, I think the Grey Knights, having a lot of psykers and psychic talent, wouldn't have much to do with this chapter. YMMV of course.

Mr. Burning has a good point but I don't think it matters too much as long as you're happy with it, and i doubt there'll be any probs with the counts as as long as there are some suitably awesome conversions

Oh, don't get me wrong I like made up chapters and like the effort put into this one.

I just think if using one there should be a central theme, special rules. having all the SM special characters available just dilutes the idea.

You do have some good points, as for the pariah gene, through years of reaserch, they found a way to encorperate this rare gene into the gene seed, and scince all GK's are psykers, and they dont want signal other entities of their presince, the knights Redemptio encorperate limiter units in all their armour. As for the special character thing, I wanted to incorperate special characters with individual rules, but for the rules of 40k I had to find the closest thing to it, although the fact that I have a character fer almost all of the special characters was completly by coincidence, althoughI think I will encorperate even more when I think up some new characters.

How are you going to show the effects of the pariah gene within your chapter? Are you going to use special rules? No librarians? No work with GK DH or WH How does the limiter work, there isn't anything to limit, the pariah gene shows an absence in the warp.

Are you still having them anchor off titan? Pariah Gened Space marines? I don't think that works on any level. It's like you are are challenging the fluff and the 40k universe rather than working with it and adapting it. It is your chapter though and fluff is just, well, just fluff.

I didn't get you wrong mate, and I do think its getting a little out of hand (even for fluff), like you say how do you limit a lack of a warp presence

sorry, I was thinking of the pshyc inert field the coleauges of Ravanor, and Eisenhorn. I thought It kept their pshyc inertness to themselves, making it eisier to be around them(also thinking about the rules of that assasin where units around them get a negative Ld mod)

To answer one question, yes, there will be special rules, but for know I am leaving that area alone.

No librarians, Recorders, but no librarians.

Also I'm thinking Sammael is going to have a rotary cannon on his wrist that uses the rules for the TFC, that might give perspective of his size, and with that down, how would I go about making a large unit like that?
Also, In Sammael's right arm will be a cc weapon, but what should it be, I want him to give off a sense of untold power, but at the same time, a cool head, that of a good commander.
