I'm trying to research into the Chaos Space Marine Chapter known as "Company of Misery" and also known as "Brethren of Mysery" or "The Desolate Brotherhood". The only mention I can find for them is on page 18 of the Chaos Space Marine Codex. I can find no web references :(

what I'm looking for is what God this company follows. They probably aren't Nurgle, so are they Slann? Tzeentch? Khorne?

Would love to hear any opinions or references that I have failed to discover.

Thanks in advance.

In the embrace of great Chaos, I am no longer afraid, for with its power and favor, I shall become the embodiment of that which I once most feared.....Death

By the look of their armor, which has an eight-pointed star on it, I'd say they're undivided. That and their armor is relatively neutral. Their insignia highly suggests they are Night Lords offshoots and the runes do as well. The Night Lords were known to carve golden, Nostraman (their language) runes into their armor to inspire fear in their enemies.

"From the fires of Betrayal unto the blood of revenge we bring the name of Lorgar, the Bearer of the Word, the favored Son of Chaos, all praise be given to him. From those that would not heed we offer praise to those who do, that they might turn their gaze our way and gift us with the Boon of Pain, to turn the Galaxy red with the blood, and feed the hunger of the Gods."

Um... I think the OP is asking for the Company of Misery, the warband three images to the right.

As to patron, I would still pin them as Undivided though, since their armour (the flames) is not particularly indicative of any specific Chaos deity. Also, the upward arrow insignia shrouded in flames indicates undivided (maybe?).

Could still be Night Lords derivative though...

Sorry, I saw Brotherhood in his post and saw that as well.

Yes, they are undivided as well. The above poster has a good explanation as to why. Remember, if it isn't obvious who they serve or if they don't lean to one side or the other in their scheme, they usually are undivided. LBursley did a paintjob of one then gave up on the project, as he so often does.
