Anyone play 40k in Michigan? Does anyone play at Rider's Hobby, HobbyTown USA, or the Games Workshop in Great Lakes Crossing? I'm a new player and need help with painting and starting out. Does anyone have advice?

I'm afraid I'm on the other side of town, about an hour from Great Lakes Crossing. I used to go to the Novi store before GW closed it, and now there isn't much on the west half of town.

That sucks. BTW are the Dark Angels the best at shooting for space marines?

I don't have much experience with DA, but if you want a gun line the stock Ultras are the best, with Crimson fists a close second.

Both rely on Tactical Squads with heavy weapon, Sternguard vets, and Predators for firepower.

DA are more specialized with Deathwing/Ravenwing which are all bike and all terminator forces.

Wolves, BA and Templars are close quarters armies, although wolves can do the Terminator thing too.
