What "hard sci-fi" in Advanced Warfighter, Brook? The EMPs? Because pretty much everything in AW was either proposed, in testing, or on the drawing board.

Okay, maybe wrong word.
But Advanced Warfighter felt more.. bleh. Dangit. Hard to describe. It felt more real and possible, not the sci-fi camo-cloaks and silly tracked robots stuff. Yes I am aware of the Mule in AW2.
Maybe it's that I'd rather see a sequel to the Vegas series than this stuff.

Well, see, here's the best way I feel to explain this leap in technology(because it's actually NOT that big of a leap. The Japanese have successfully developed something very similar to the camo cloaks. The only difference being that they're "passive camo" rather than activated, and require a huge amount of power to use making them really only useful for vehicles):
The Ghost Recon series has always been set about 6-7 years in the future. GRAW and GRAW 2 were supposed to take place around 2011-2014ish.
EndWar was supposed to take place around 2020+.
So, rather than keeping Ghost Recon just a few minor years ahead of our current timeline(where they'd have to be a bit more responsible with how they do it, and requiring them to constantly be on the phone asking for the stats and the like on equipment)--they've decided to jump ahead to where EndWar was.
They've done the same thing with the Splinter Cell series and quite frankly--it's a better way to do it. They get to be a bit more creative in what they add, but they still retain a sense of realism.

right until they pop the mini rockets and blow up a tank, that spoiled the whole trailer for me, other than that though looks a good game could get me into ghost recon, if I don't get GRAW2 that is
