While Adepticon was absolutely filled with breathtaking artwork and superb artistic efforts all round this perhaps may have been THE best thing to see there:

This incredible sisters of battle costume was put together by a girl introducing herself as Mel! She had such a great friendly fan attitude and was a pleasure to speak with! When I asked to take her picture during lunch Saturday of the TT, she was very amicable and struck this great imposing in character pose!

Women bring grace and inspiration to wargaming and I always wish there were more of them! Well done Mel, thanks from me and all the fans!

Yep that is Mel. She is the Wife/Co-owner of DiceHeads in Chattanooga TN. She was supposed to have that done last year when we did the team tourny but she did not get it done in time.

I'm not so into the cosplay thing, but that's a nice ensemble. It doesn't look thrown together at all and the pose is a nice touch. Well done.

I consider costuming my 2nd hobby, so I take pride it what I do. I wouldn't bring it to Adepticon last year because it looked "thrown together".

Gardeth - I only have a temper when provoked.

It was great seeing people we know and like at Adepticon! Already planning for next year!

Mel: I saw you on the Blue Table Painting youtube channel originally, and my first thought was that out of all that they had shown of adepticon, your costume was the best

HA! Yeah, because that one works SOOO well for us.

I PLAN to play some at The S.I.E.G.E in 4 weeks, but we'll have to see.

It is hard to run an event AND play.

That's what The Kalm is for!

I remember her, was well done and tastefull which I liked. I tell my wife when I go to these types of things(as rare as they are for me truely) I hate the women who have not learned that less is trashy. They have weight to them but feel a boostie and come revealing ensamble is the way to go. Costumes are fun, and if it's a female in it ok, if it's a male in it ok. I like when people put effort into them, and don't just try for the sex appeal because in the end the sex appeal as some would call it makes you look well like a four letter S word. Great job on the costume mel I look forward to seeing more of them in the future.

Listen, my children, as I pass onto you the truth behind Willy Wonka and his factory. For every wonka bar ever created in existance, Mr. Wonka sacraficed a single Oompa Loompa to the god of chocolate, Hearshys. Then, he drank the blood of the fallen orange men because he fed them a constant supply of sugary chocolate so they all became diabetic and had creamy, sweet-tasting blood that willy could put into each and every Wonka bar. That is the REAL story behind willy wonka's Slaughter House!

Yeah, it can take a fair bit of spinning with no losses.
