Hello, my name is Alicia. I am just starting a wood elf army. I am 31, and married with a two year old. I'm completely new to the game, and i was hoping to be able to get together occasionally with some like minded women to paint and game some.

Check with Phoenix games. I think they have a female player.

I was hoping to actually be able to chill at Tower since they are closer to me and they have painting nights.

My wife wants to get into WHFB, (SHe thinks orks are cute!) We have a 5 month lil girl, and no friends in the Atlanta area. we live an exit down from the atlanta airport. Does your husband game? My wife hasn't made any friends since we moved from Ohio so a friend would be nice for her.

We have alot of female gamers here at Giga-Bites, though its a bit more of a drive if you live near Buford

I highly recommend checking out Phoenix Games if you're looking for a place to socialize. I don't think they're very heavy on women though.

I don't know why, but throughout the many years of catching jokes about being into warhammer from women (Are you gonna come and cuddle or keep painting silver pants blue?) they all seem to agree that Orcs are the coolest/cutest race out there. That or Skaven. I find whenever a gf has seen me painting an Orc or Skaven, over an elf or Chaos warrior, etc, they seem much more interested and will actually ask to get involved with it. My GF keeps trying to set up paint dates to paint some O+G with me.

So the point of this post? Play orcs and get laid boys. Errrrmm....Boyz.

I must admit, I completly failed to help you out with your original question. If I was in Atlanta I would help, I swear! But it's good to see more women getting into warhammer. It's good to go to a game and see women there, it makes it a more diverse gaming experience. Plus, it keeps ALOT of people in check, because let me tell you, alot of people have no filter what so ever at games. It's good to see gutter mouths and pervs put on their maturity hat for a night once in awhile. I won't lie when I say that is a referance to myself.

Our group plays at the Tower on Thursday nights. We are almost all married and the same age, a few of us have childeren. A couple of our wives used to play. Now they play Mah-jong(sp?).

My wife quit playing Tomb Kings when the BO at the old War Room got so bad from card gamers, but she has talked about getting back in lately, which was kind of odd and out of the blue. My wife dosen't paint, but one of my buds wife does.

You and your husband should stop by one night.


Sexiest_Hero, you should look up the forums as well. We have a 7 month old and my wife is a stay at home mom. Our group is trying to do more things as couples.

If you are looking for women gamers, you just have to find married male gamers.

thanks, we may just have to do that, eimaj, when we are actually closer to the gaming stage of things. right now we're putting together giant boxes of plastic dudes and still trying to figure out our point values.

unfortunately with my work schedule as it is now, it is hard to do anything during the week in the evenings. i'm 8 to midnight mon-thurs. my husband is working a pretty normal schedule as he gets home at 7ish. i will, however, check out the board you mentioned.
