Hello! I'm a noob to WH40K. Been working on my Ork army for about a month now. So far I've got the Orks form AoBR, 1 Battleforce box, plus 3 additional boxes of boyz. Next week I plan on buying more.
I've got all my stuff assembled and have a good start on painting them. I will be playing Kill Team at my local meta in May. That being said I plan on taking a Trukk filled with boyz (slugga/choppa) and 1 nob (with big choppa) for the rest of the 200 points I plan on taking more boyz. We'll see how I do.
Other then my KT army I want to add on to the decent start of minis I've gotten so far. I'm leaning toward either a horde of Goffs or Evil Sunz. Haven't decided. I've been reading all the threads I can dig up about Orks in and out of vehicles and I know that which ever way I go with Orks I need to go decisively in the direction I choose as Orkses cannot do everything well at one time but excel in something specific.
Any random thoughts on that subject would be welcome.

Rather than getting more boxes of Boyz, try for a Megaforce, you'll get alotta Bikes and other goodies, I started my Ork army with 2 Megaforce boxes and Ghazghkull plus a load of stuff I found on eBay.
I have my Orks based on the moment, whatever I feel like having at the time, but mainly Goffs. My WAAAGH!! is disorganised to ensure the best WAAAGH!!
Welcome to 40K and to da WAAAGH!!

Welcome to dak dakยก I suggest a PK nob in your mob of boyz rather than Big Choppa. As i learned this the hard way and was charged with a Soul Grinder and couldnt do a single thing to it. Just so you know as i personally like the way a 'Uge Choppa looks compared to a PK but PKs are better at killing big stuff.

Excellent, more Orks for the forthcoming WAAAGH!
I'll second the switch from the Big Choppa to the most lovely POWER KLAW!
Welcome

Thanks for the suggestions about the PK. I'll put in a power Klaw instead of the big choppa. I wasn't sure in a 200 point Kill Team tourney if the PK would be worth it but it sounds like the way to go.
