Hey DakkaDakka, I finally broke down and decided to post up my models, at the constant behest of my buddies. So without further adieu, here are the Steel Templars/Crusaders of Corrosion:
EDIT: Sorry, some of the pictures are a bit blurry, I'll try and not do that next time. (New camera and crappy paper-towel lightbox

)
EDIT EDIT: I forgot to mention, I'm not really the greatest painter... and I just started
40k a couple months ago, so don't expect anything too grand here. If I can get them to table-ready, I'm happy
The Steel Templars are a Black Templars Crusade operating in and around some of the larger warp-storms across the galaxy. They have vowed to take the Emperor's fury into such forsaken places in order to purge the witch and the heretic from the Emperor's sight. They also have experience fighting the Eldar near the Eye of Terror, and the Tyranids to the Galactic southeast. Once, indeed, they even confronted the dreaded Necrons on a Tomb world that fell directly before the path of the Emperor's Crusade. Oh and most importantly, they have been given special dispensation to alter their heraldry at the request of their Marshal.
The Crusaders of Corrosion were founded upon the remains of a entire lost company of Steel Templars who became cut off from their battle force by a massive daemonic incursion. The planet which they had just claimed in the name of the Emperor was consumed by the Warp, and flung into the rotting kingdom of Nurgle. Alone and defiant, they fought off hundreds of daemonic attacks, and even managed to storm one of Nurgle's pestilent fortresses that sprung from the ground like giant pustules. But the death of their last chaplains, the long, unending tide of daemons, and the mind-altering force of Chaos itself took its toll. After nearly two hundred years in the Warp, the lost company broke its oaths to the Emperor and gave themselves to Nurgle's embrace. Ever since, they have struck out at the Imperium, taking great pleasure in the defilement of the Emperor's hives and shrine-worlds. They have grown as well, attracting many aspiring leaders and champions, and are rumored to be led by a daemon prince of unknown origin.
....blah blah blah get to the pictures dammit!

Alrighty, here's some shots of my finished stuff (and a few
WIPs):
WIP Terminator Chaplain:
His Bling Bling Crux
My Emperor's Champion (built from an
AOBR Commander and about a dozen other bitz):
Some steadfast crusaders. You may notice some are a little better than others; those were done later.
Also, my first attempt at blood spatter.
I also have an unhealthy love for Terminators. I can't get enough of them.
This guy has a curse. I always start a new model after trying to finish him. But he'll get there eventually! Have faith brother
These guys need to get primed (well except Mr. Dreadnought). I wish they'd do it themselves, save me the trouble
Up close on the 'counts as' power fist:
...damn this post is getting long. I wonder how many of you will actually read this line. Anyway, more terminators: my thunderhammers and some specialists.
And the powersword/power fist combo (counts as either, if I need to field him - I was just fooling around trying to make him look cool):
My motor pool; ironically both sides share these guys (well and some of the line-men swing both ways too

)
On to chaos. Here's my fully painted oblit. I like how he turned out, for the most part. Need to pin-vice the barrels though (for everybody, actually).
My
WIP oblit with servo arms. I figured if they're supposed to be mostly corrupt tech marines, this could happen, right?
Did I mention I like terminators?
Here's my
DP, alongside my first fully painted model. So... there's a story here. You may notice that my
DP looks a little worse for wear around the edges and along some of the details. Well he used to have a rack of spines across his back, made from the Chaos vehicle sprue, but a friend of mine knocked him off the table and he broke into quite a few pieces, but more importantly he lost a lot of paint. I'm currently still procrastinating going to the store to pick up some Gesso and some sealing spray for when I repaint the lost parts. I'll get to it eventually. (Amazingly, I didn't lose my cool... though I think it was the shock).
Whew, I guess that's it. I probably won't update this that often but I'll get around to it. There are a lot of models I didn't show, but most are either still plastic grey or only primed. I still have to proxy neophytes, but I've got a ton of regular marines with chainswords, a couple converted chaplains, a bunch of
FW plague marines, some sterguard which count as my heavy weapons, and dudes with jump packs. Oh and there's a few other random dudes in there, and a bunch of un-based,
AOBR orks.
Thanks for reading.
