Basically, I want to set up a battle between enemo and eirusk. The post has the two
50 point theme forces that I have in mind. I tried to limit the amount of different models
in each army so that someone who is unfamiliar with the armies (but not necessarily the
game) can make good choices when fielding them.

Any advice?

im not sure about the usefulness of the thunderhead in that list without a way to safely get him out of being bogged down in troops so it cant pulse. i love that jack but i find it needs an escape mechanism ready.
its hard to say what i would change since i still cant afford the cygnar book to know the tier lists but i would be tempted to drop a storm tower and just change the thead to two ironclads.

Wasn't the Thunderhead destroyed in the Orgoth tower battle in the Thornwood where Darius lost an ear and the Menoth parade float was killed? Didn't the fall of Northguard after chronologically after that?

The Nemo list is fluffy enough, Thunderhead or not. Maybe give Nemo a lancer?

The stormcallers can pick off models that engage the Thunderhead, and then let it pulse.

True enough. I'll have to read the books to figure out the timing of events again.

Since it's a set-piece, I can readjust model placement and just tell the players that certain
units have specific objectives, etc. I mean, I want to keep it to standard warmachine rules
as much as possible, but it's easy enough to manipulate the set-up, terrain, scernario objectives, etc.

The Thunderhead was being rebuilt by that time, but Nemo had to rush off to defend Northguard. Darius fixed the Thunderhead, and was en route with it and Kraye to assist the defense, but were ambushed by Cryx. If fluff accuracy is important, I'd sub out the Thunderhead for a...crap, I can't find my copy of Legends. I want to say he had a Defender and/or Hammersmith. Maybe just go with an Ironclad? It keeps the list Tier 4 and cut the most points for a Lancer.

The other problem with this list is Storm Call. Do you want to confuse new players with The Attack That Is Not An Attack?

The Irusk list looks appropriate. There's really not much else you could do with it, unless you wanted to go with minimum sized units and take a couple of Mortars or Field Guns.

I figure if Irusk wanted to mobilize, he'd be happier with the twin bombard Behemoth backed
up by the grenade launching Spriggan rather than try to utilize his field mortars.

I had the same thought about Stormcall, but if we remove the Thunderhead and
just put something beatstick or gunstick (does that make sense?) it might
take pressure off the Stormcall rules.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Looking at the book, it appears as if Nemo has no Thunderhead, but Defenders, Ironclads and a Centurion.

I'll have to consider this.
