Hello Dakkaites(sp?)

I'm a long time lurker here on the forum, and thought I'd finally contribute a bit to the community.
And what better way to do that, than with mini's?

So the deal with these eldar are as follows.
My friend who is more of a gamer than hobbyist, decided that he wanted a new army.
He absolutely hates painting and thought he'd just pay himself to get out of it.
That's when I come in. So I decided to take on his army.

He only had a few things he wanted for his models, rest was up to me.
  • Tabletop quality.
  • Main armor white.
  • Paved bases.

  • So I thought I'd be up for that challenge and in the process, improve my own painting.
This will be an ongoing blog until I finish the army which will roughly consist of:
  • 2 Farseers
  • 2 x 10 Dire Avengers in transports (forgot the name)
  • 1 x 10 Banshees in transport
  • 1 x 5 Fire Dragons in transport
  • Vyper Squadron (I think)
  • Dark Reapers
  • 2 x Fire Prism

  • Anyway, here's the test mini I made which he liked

So that's the painting scheme, and I'm thinking I'll substitute the underarmor color with the different aspect colors..
Basing is obviously not done but here's a WIP on how I'm gonna do em

And here's the WIP's of some of the other Dire Avengers for the first squad

I'll do my best to make updates atleast once a week and more of I finish something or I have something out of the ordinary to show you
Hope you enjoy and C&C very welcome,
    Andse

Wow, those sir, are brilliant, although I would consider putting a bit more of a shade/highlight on the grey areas and maybe a slightly brighter highlights all over. Just to make them 'pop'

You mean the weapon and grenades?
I actually considered highlighting them a bit sharper and brighter, but I find line highlights a bit off on eldar figures, I might run them over with a wash a touch it up a bit though.. Thanks for the feedback

No problem ^^ I think a wash, not too thick will help, just give some depth to the weapons as the color is looking a little flat

    *UPDATE*

Due to school being busy I havn't had much time to paint or do updates..
But the first squad of 10 Dire Avengers are done (cam went dead when I had to take pictures, so I'll have to upload them sometime later)

And here's the progress of 1 of 4 Wave Serpents

    C&C welcome,
