If this post is in the wrong spot I'm sure someone will move it but...

I want to issue a challenge, well not so much a challenge but an inquiry. I'm new to the whole customizing with GS and such and I wanted to see if anyone had made themselves in a GW figure? Has anyone turned themselves into an ork boy? A SM maybe? An IG with his fav Las gun? I'm not talking about some obnoxiously lagre Chaos lord with horns and such...unless you actually have horns in wich case THAT IS AWESOME! I mean an honest to goodness likeness? I plan on doing one of myself right down to my stupid goatee and I want to know if anyone else is willing to join me? Well are YOU?!?!

Post on here and we can do it together and see what we come up with! It would be cool to see the Dakka community in Mini form!!

is it possible to get that much detail in a miniature? You've have to be a wicked modeler.

If I were that good I would most certainly be leading my Chaos horde

Chaos Space Marines, The Skull Guard: 4500pts
Fists of Dorn: 1500pts
Wood Elves, Awakened of Spring: 3425pts

It's not a matter of being a wicked modeler! It's about putting the effort in and giving it a shot! I completely SUCK at modeling and I'm going to give it a shot.

Damn, when I'm finished my current project (which will be never) I might try that. That's a pretty cool idea, but I can't make a face look human, never mind look like myself at first glance.

Still, might give it a go. At the very least this has inspired me to go sculpt which I haven't done for a while.

It's better to simply be an idiot, as no one can call you on it here. -H.B.M.C.

Cap'n Gordino's instant grammar guide:
"This is TOO expensive." "I'm going TO the store, TO get some stuff."
"That is THEIR stuff." "THEY'RE crappy converters."
"I put it over THERE." "I'll go to the store THEN."
"He knows better THAN that." "This is NEW." "Most players KNEW that."

Well Captain, sounds like an excuse to me Just kidding. Trust me I am prob the worst modeler on here and I'm willing to make an of myself showing off my terrible work!

The hardest part for me (aside from the GS work) is going to be picking a fitting likeness in GW form.

130 Views is not a lot, people with such modelling skills are very rare, and making anything look like someone at this scale is REALLY hard (except for people such as Abraham Lincoln with obvious trademark items).

Wow. Ok, nevermind. I didn't realize that trying something for the hell of it was such an issue.

I'll give it a go! don't think I would cut it as a marine but I have a IG army that can always use another sergeant.

I agree that the problem will be lack of distinguishing features at least since I cut off the goatee...maybe a master of Ordnance with glasses would be a good fit.

I will get on it good sir!...Ok maybe when I have a few moremarines done..Definitely sometime soon..ish
