Ok so picked up the MK2 book and my khador book after watching some guys play in my FLGS. Really like the look of the game. Being my first list i know it will probably suck royally, but i dont want to invest a bunch of money in models just to get stomped.

So here it is

eSorcha

Berserker
Destroyer
Kodiak

Battle Mechanik with 3 grunts
Widowmakers- Leader and 3 grunts
Man-o-war demolition corpse Leader and 2 grunts
Great bears of Gallowswood
War Dog

This is 41 points, but if im reading the rules right 6 of those technically dont count for the total because i get an extra 6 from Sorcha. So this would be a 35 point list?

My basic train of thought is its melee heavy, and will attempt to make great use of eSorcha's feat. With the Man o Wars and the great bears they could put out a lot of damage in one turn i would think.

The Widowmakers ability to designate one point of damage to a column of your choice seems huge, i could be wrong on this though. War dog adds a little protection to the warcaster.

Looks good, I think the widowmakers ability to do one point of damage to infantry models is better. But finishing off a column on a jack isn't bad either especially if you can ruin a system.

Yeah being able to pick off single models is great. I was thinking more of the putting that last point into a system to cripple it.

Welcome to the Red. As a fellow Khador player lemme give ya my opinion.

eSorcha

Berserker
Destroyer
Kodiak

Battle Mechanik with 3 grunts
Widowmakers- Leader and 3 grunts
Man-o-war demolition corpse Leader and 2 grunts
Great bears of Gallowswood
War Dog

you have too many jacks for eSorscha. she is FOC 6 and is G-R-E-E-D-Y with it. between cyclone, shatterstorm and ironflesh she doesnt have alot to dole out to her jacks. i would cut down your jacks to beast 09 at 35 points. beast is HER jack, gets an amazing bond bonus, and is money on the feat turn.

meks are good, keep those.

widowmakers are decent, not amazing, but decent, keep those.

demo corp are crap, especially a min unit. they can dish out pain, but they cannot take a solid hit and are slow with no way for you to buff them.

great bears are gold

wardog is niiiice, especially for a DEF 16 caster with iron flesh.

so lets rework your list a little bit.

the stuff that stays:

eSorscha -6
meks 2
widowmakers 4
great bears 5
dog 1

lets add beast 09 (11 points)

thats 17 points to play with. well lets look at winterguard. she does have desperate pace and iron flesh, she can make those winterguard DEF 17 which is pretty annoying to hit. also ook at what a 12 man unit (10 base and 2 from the UA) can do on a combined range attack. your looking at a unit that can be defense 17, walking 7 inches then firing 8 inches at a POW 24. on feat turn you can delete fresh heavy jacks with right rolls, as well as most casters on average rolls.

so, Winterguard and UA (8 points)

so, now we look at Joseph Grigorivich. think youer winterguard are scary now? how about tough? or boosted attack rolls? or +3 str, making them pretty ball breaking in combat.

Kovnik Joe (2points)

were at 27 points. we have long range support from the widowmakers, and mid/short range support from the winterguard. eSorscha's feat really likes models that can lay into some damage to maximize the kill, so lets look at a few options.

1. Darkhun. here we have what is usually refered to as one of khador's "light" warjacks. not really a warjack at all, but armored like one and moves pretty fast. a SPD 7 weaponmaster with ARM 19 is pretty solid for 4 points.

2. Manhunter. this 2 point solo adds in some stealth options, as well as hitting really hard with 2 POW 11 weaponmaster attacks. at MAT 8 these guyas are hitting most jacks and casters on average rolls. on feat turn these guys can tear down lights with ease and put craters in heavies.

so we can addin the the Drakhun (4 points) and a pair of manhunters for 4 points total. this gives us a complete 35 points that looks like this:

eSorscha 35 points

eSorscha -6

- Beast 09 11
- Wardog 1

Winterguard 6
Winterguard UA 2
Great Bears 5
Widowmakers 4
Meks 2

Joe 2
Drakhun w/o dismount 4
manhunter 2
manhunter 2

now you gave alot of bases covered. decent harrassment shooting at long range, hardcore CRA shots at mid/close range and a whole lot of pain in CC from multiple angles.

enjoy.

Hmmm the hardly any jacks thing doesnt appeal to me that much, please tell me there are Khador warcasters that like to take 2-3 jacks? which ones are they?

jack heacy? sure there are plenty. at 35 points you are going to see 2-3 jacks with most of the casters. here is a basic look at what i run caster/jack wise at 35 points.

pSorscha - 2 destroyers
eSorscha - beast 09
pButcher - Behemoth
eButcher - Beast 09 and Spriggan
pVlad - Drago
eVlad - Drago
irusk - Behemoth or Spriggan
eIrusk - 2 Spriggans
Old Witch - 2 destroyers
Karchev - 2 berserkers, kodiak
Strakhov - Behemoth and Beast 09

35 points really doesnt suit 3 or more jacks unless its karchev or pVlad, i use pVlad and a support caster more then an up front caster so drago is it for him, at 50 he get behemoth.
