I've only recently just started to explore other game systems away from 40k and WH Fantasy and I'm looking to get into Warmachine, Horde and Infinity

Just a quick question- I found an offer online for issue #1-#29 of No Quarter Magazine from Privateer Press, which presumably has a lot of background fluff and rules for Warmachine

My question is- Is the price of £110 'worth' it for all these magazines, or would I be getting ripped off royally??

Retail price used to be $6 an issue. 29 x 6 = $174 dollars. 110 pounds is about $160. I would say you're overpaying. A lot of the old content is rules previews that are now useless because they use the old edition of the rules. The battle reports are kind of a gray area because they'll still be fun to read, but use defunct rules.

However there are still lots of good fluff pieces, terrain building and painting tutorials, and miscellaneous other articles that are worth reading. If you're willing to bite the bullet on the old rules, I'd say go for it as long as they're in good condition.

Perhaps a bit over one third of the material of NQ's published before Mk2 will be redundant, as it is MK1 material - it depends on the issue. The Guts and Gears articles are a mix of extended background, painting, and a bit of tactics advise, for example.

Here is a complete list over all NQ material:

If your offer actually includes NQ 1-4, they're pretty rare these days.

I would skip them at that cost, while fun to look at and read most of the content is really only useful as preview info. Unless you are a big fan of the ikrpg then there is a ton of good stuff in there that you can't get anywhere else.
