I've currently got two projects on the go, that I know of... oh make that three! This is probably going to be one that takes up a lot of my gaming time until the force is in a bit of a better position.

Have decided to go NMM with them as I like the feel and look but doing a whole army of it would be a ball ache! It's also possibly not going to involve much in the way of conversions as the models are beautiful and involve quite a lot of metal (at the moment, plastics are on way). Have also made the decision not to buy any new models until the ones I have are painted as I am fed up of buying a whole army and not having the inspiration or motivation to paint more than one or two models! This way, by buying it in chunks will make it easier to manage!

Have painted my first model, a solo and will post a picture later. I have as a result allowed myself my next purchase, a unit of assassins.

I know i need to work on faces, but it is ok for a battlefield, and needs a finished base but that'll be the last thing that i do when all are done.

So today, after the gash attempt at skin tone yesterday I dug out some old books and models and remembered how i did skin.

Dark Flesh base, Dwarf Flesh main, Elf flesh highlights on nose, check bones and forehead/eyebrow line. Job done.

Looks about a million times better than washes!

First Assassin has been finished too. Have realised that when I'm painting one model/unit I can get through it quite quickly. It's a sea of primed/grey/silver models that demoralises me into quitting!

Model two is done, a lot more happier with the skin tone in this one, have been reading up some blogs on NMM, and realised that the blade is not quite right yet...
