Nasty Nob on Warbike with Klaw

Buzzard's Knob

We met at 31st century games as planned, but neither one of us thought to check for availability, so we had to wait for 2 hours for a table to open up, thanks to some tourney or another. However, we eventually did get in a 1,000 pts battle, my Orks vs. his IG.

He had two basic leman russ, a command squad in a chimera and two veteran squads, also in chimeras. I had a warboss, 2x30 boys, each unit had a nob with a powerklaw. I also had 6 meganobs and 5 deffkotas.

The first three turns were basically me footslogging forward through his hail of fire, though the deffkoptas did manage to get rear shots on one russ, immobilizing it and destroying the battlecannon. The other russ and the two vet squads in chimeras destroyed one boyz mob but in turn 5 I Waaagh!!!ed, and charged his command squad and one of his chimeras. I killed the command squad, wrecked their chimera and exploded the other chimera.

The mission that was rolled was objectives, but in our haste to engage in battle we forgot to place them, so we decided that I won 4-2 on kill points. All in all, it was a good fight, where the fundamentals were exercised well and my persistence paid off in the face of typically high casualties. Though it's a long drive, I expect we will meet in battle more in the future, and this time, at least one of us will remember to bring a tape measure.

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!
