Thunderhawk Pilot Dropping From Orbit

Hey guys and gals, I've been trawling through some videos on weathering for my marines and came across this guy's technique. Now I know it uses a similar sort of technique as Army Painter's dips, but I think it has a slight edge over them. No standing around flicking your models around for a start. Anyway here it is. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QBOyvS1hBg8 Remember this is not my work, its just a little tute that I thought some among you may find useful. Hope it helps.

Yeah, I know its not strictly wargaming but I think the ideas in them could work really well for tanks and dreads.

you know that airbrush stuff he used, the fade it down, does anyone know if GW or any other model company stock something similar which you can paint on with a brush, to apply before weathering?

I thought that was just watered down white and light brown paint. I am pretty sure he said you can paint it on.

He did say you could paint it on. Also, he did do a dip shake after the 2nd dip. Decent video, but I don't think I'll change my methods from it. I thought his grafitti train car was awesome.

Yeah the graffiti, is cool. If I remember correctly I saw someone do some on their aegis defence lines. He does shake the model but if you check out army painter's video for their shaking its a lot more vigorous, something I think that would need to be done outside and therefore not all that great for people in less clement climates.

I use Army Painter and you can simply brush it on. Also if you have an air compressor you can use that to blow the esses off.
