Im going to be going up to Legions this monday and wanted to know if any of you dakka members would be willing to sit down with a new player and teach them how to play 40k.
Im a total noob and I don't even have a army yet but I really need someone to show me because nobody around here plays yet and im trying to get them started at it.

Thanks,
Dysturbed

Well I would be happy to sit down and let you use my space marine army, which I keep around for this distinct reason. The only problem is that I never go out to legions, For me it's to far away. If you would be willing to go to phantom of the Attic I would be happy to bring my models and show you the ropes. If not drop by some time when you can and we'll have a game.

thanks for the offer man. And I will if i make it up that way.

Me and my wife are huge fans of Diners Drive-in's and dives and it just so happens that Kelly o's dinner is next to Legions so we are going there and i get to go to Legions because of it lol.

I really really like legions, the store has great tables and staff that is actually helpful and nice. I'm in Erie and have spent more money there than at my local GS.

Some of the FoW players can be jerks, but not all of them, and they have dedicated tables.

Good to hear im going to a good place then. The website doesn't really show the store but the site is cool looking. Then again you can shine up a piece of crap and it's still a piece of crap lol.

Legions has around 25+ gaming tables. Some of them are FoW only cause thats the owners favorite game. I dont know of any FoW players specifically that are pricks, but I am not going to say there arent any. I really dont play 40k anymore, but there are always players there on Fridays and Saturdays (both days are busy). If you're really having trouble finding a game, I am always willing to help new players out. Like I said though, I havent played 40k in a long time, I havent even got my new IG book, but would if needed. I am more of a fantasy and Mtg player right now.
