Subject: Question for Menoth players

I've got a question for Menoth players. With Menoth having so many support units and solos what do you find to be the most useful. I've been running a Choir forever. I now have access to vassals and vassal mechanics, along with a piper of ord and a testament of Menoth. I'm interested to hear what kind of support choices other players run most often and why.

Vassals (specifically Enliven) are awesome from playing against them.
It allows a Jack to use it offensively or defensively after making the opponent hesitate with a "do I want to damage that jack," responce.

This is a little story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job.
Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

i started menoth as a second force WM force. in almost every list you will see:
Min Choir
Vassal
Covenant
the covenant in particular is just TOO good to pass up for 2 points. spell immunity as well as knockdown trumping and also handing our fire to troops is great.
vassal is always good, especially against lists with minimal hard shooting that rely on their heavy hitters getting the jump on you. i like enliven on the avatar or templar. ARM 21 can usually take a hit without losing to much, move away afterwards to end the combat then charge back in on your turn.
the meks i usually find room for one, and he usually follows the avatar around since the avatar is always in the thick of it.
a forth choice that makes alot of my lists is the reclaimer. sitting him in with troops gets him souls as my troops die, and that in turn lessens the focus burden on my caster. i run eFeora alot and when i can commune 3 focus to her bonded reedemer, it really helps her out.

Vice-scrutator Vindictus
LOTS of Holy Zealots
Reclaimers
every time som1 shoots vidic0tus holy zealot dies and reclaimer gets a soultoken any enemy model that is within 2" of the reclaimer takes a point of damage (no known exceptions) then in your turn the reclaimers feed ur warjacks letting vindictus cast his spells
destroyed a whole unit of iron fang pikemen using this (except vindictus wasn't out and i was using field test rules so it was 3" instead of 2")

I've been meaning to play a Menofixer and a set of wracks.
If I had a menofixer fix just 1 box of my Crusader's movement in my last game (against Sanctjud, no less!), I could have had the Crusader trample through a gagglle of raiders instead of being tied up for practically the whole game.
The Wracks cause terror, provide focus, and keep enemies from wandering too close since they are essentially cheap landmines.

Meh. Reclaimer is very handy if you've got a decent sized infantry swarm with your jacks, but he's incredibly squishy. That, and soulstorm only works if they moved into the area. If they started there, they can kill him just fine. Other solos get around the storm easily as well, and god forbid a 'Jack sets its sights on him.
I'm a big fan of the Choir (who isn't?), and the Book goes in a lot of my lists as well. While the Vassal is nice, I'll generally take a Reclaimer over him if I have to choose. I play eFeora most of the time, so I'm generally harder up for focus than I am for extra fire from my Redeemer.

well i keep the reclaimer in the middle of a unit of holyzealots with the grunts defending him. he is definatly NOT for combat unless you have no choice(although he can use the soultokens like warcasters use focus).
havn't used the covenant since MK2 came out but i think it'd work well with the idrians-assault and flames of wrath
oh and the choir "battle" spell and grand scrutator sererus' eye of menoth spell dead handy with a reckoner that assaulted my bros vlad and turned him into a red stain vaguely smelling of ensense
