With our 2nd Mordheim Campaign fast Approaching I need to get cracking with the rosterhammering.
(Then I can start building/buying models)

In the previous campaign I went all out with shooting in a Reiklanders list and want to try something different.

So something a little more swarmy:

1 x Canival Master + Bow + Mace + Dagger = 88pts

1 x Brute + Dh Weapon = 75pts

2 x Tainted ones + Bloated Foulnes (+1 T / +1W) + Sword = 75pts each

2 x PLague Bearers = 50 pts each

5 x Nurglings = 15pts each

I have feeling Edwin is going to enjoy this campaign...he's using witch hunters (though if I was him I would have gone for Sisters of Sigmar).

I would lose the bow on your leader and give him a sword instead. If he's the only 1 shooting, he will be the first un-hidden enemy that gets shot back at. The rest looks good to me though. A match up between us would be interesting.

Time to get Green-Stuffing!

After a few test matches I found the nurglings to be sorely lackinin the stuff i need for an assault based list.
Their Ws and T are just too low to really be worth it, especially as they count towards the route test, and gain no experience over the campaign.

Also i was remided of how awseome a mace/club is for the points it cost.
So instead of doing anything fancy with this roster for the 1st round, its going to be extremely simple.

1 x Canival Master + Sword+ Dagger = 80pts

1 x Brute + Mace = 63pts

2 x Tainted ones + Bloated Foulnes (+1 T / +1W) + Mace = 68pts each

3 x Bretheren + Mace = 28pts each

2 x PLague Bearers = 50 pts each

2 x Nurglings = 15pts each

Plan being to get another Brute and increase to the 15 model maximum as soon as financially feasible, and after that point is reached start equiping the heavy hitters with swords.

It's usually worth giving the heavy hitters something to work with. I know they can be expensive but early on they can be devastating. Especially when Sun and I also have heavy hitters of our own. You need to somehow give yourself an edge.

You have an 11 model warband which actually has the same chance to fail a rout test as a 9 man warband. If you lose the 2 nurglings you have a few extra points to give a buff to your brute or some better weapons to your heroes.

I'm still going to sculpt some stinky little midget clowns, just in case I have a chance to use them.

I suppose I should take advantage of some things:

Carnival Master: bs4
Giving him a bow makes sense, that is until I find out what spell he will have for the campaign.

Brute: S4, A2
While the strong man rule is nice, making it more likely for my attacks to wound (3 x S6 on the charge).
I like the idea of throwing more dice in HtH (4 x S4 on the charge), and still have 3 x attacks if I get charged.

Tainted Ones (T4, W2, [-1M])
Theyre slow, and will more than likely fall into the followup HTH wave. Giving them 1-2rounds of shooting before they reach hth.
Also, they can act as bloated meatshields for my Carnival master.
