I just started BFG and I really like the game mechanics, but I've been using the rules from GW's website, and there's a few things that have me nonplussed. I've read on forums and the like about Fighters suppressing Turrets, but I can't seem to find it in any of the official rules. Similarly, I couldn't locate anything about Fighta Bombas ignoring the first 3 Turrets on a bombing run, even though it's a commonly held truth on these and other boards. Are these rules from an older version of BFG, or perhaps the online rules comprise only a portion of whole rule-set? Thanks for any help!

For turret massing and fighta bomba clarifications, you need to make sure you get ahold of the 2007 FAQ. This is not available on the GW website, but you can find it on the downloads page of Port Maw: http://portmaw.com/download.php?list.8.

Ok, thanks for the information. It's clear that the information I sought originates from this FAQ, but since it's a 2007 release, and the current GW online rules are dated 2008, I'm not sure they still count as current. Any thoughts...?

Since it's the last FAQ, people still use it. Don't expect there to be another one.

The idea is that it takes extra effort and time to write properly, and they’d rather save the time. If you can still be understood, what’s the harm? While most of the time a sloppy post CAN be understood, the use of proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling is generally seen as respectable and desirable on most forums. It demonstrates an effort made to be understood, and to make your post an easy and pleasant read. By making this effort, you can often elicit more positive responses from the community, and instantly mark yourself as someone worth talking to.
