So I have been posting images of these marines here and there for a few years. I finally got to sit down and get most of them painted up this summer.

As of now I have (painted):
40 assault marines sans jump packs
10 tactical marines
6 death company sans backpacks
2 chaplains
1 librarian
1 apothecary

I am going to move onto armor after I finish up the last touches on the death company. I want to knock out two Baal Predators before basing and backpacking all of the troops. I still have another tactical squad, terminator squad, two rhinos, two vindicators and two land raiders.

At some point I want to pick up some dreadnoughts

Alright, photos. Just note that a lot of these dudes are unbased and as such I only hit them with a gloss varnish. They look very shiny, that's going to be cut once I base them and hit them with matte varnish.

Tactical Squad 1- 1 Flamer 1 Power Fist (painted about one year prior to the rest)

i really like your colour scheme, use of various bits, and the different look for the characters (apoth, chap) looking forward to seeing more!

Some of the poses there are fantastic...plus i like the flamer that has used a cadian part!

The chaplins look quite blue however,was that the effect you were aiming for??

Holy crap, I can't believe you spotted that conversion!

As for the chaplins, yes their armor is a bit more obviously bluish than the other marines, but they are highlighted the same way. I went for something softer. Most people edge highlight black but I just don't like that look.

I guess it's up to taste.
