Hey all,

I got a copy of Pirates of the Broken Coast in trade recently and it's got great fluff and character.

Does anybody know if the Mkii Mercenaries book will include the various pirate rules? I hope so because there has been no word of another pirates book coming out between now and Hordes Mkii.

Thanks for any info

Now that has just made me smile while I'm busy running endless revenue reports at work because it's the end of the month and finance wants numbers sent their way.

I really want to make a pirate ship or two, perhaps out of foamcore or the card folding one from World Works http://www.worldworksgames.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=27 and have combat that rages from ship to ship.

It could start with cannon fire at range, perhaps with Mariner's joining in and then end up in a glorious boarding action.

Ahh pirates....

NQ #25 had an article on making fairly quick ships. A boarding action sounds like a decent game.

My official faction choice is "All of the above"

If you're looking for boarding action games, check out the Escalation book. It has a really great scenario, where the goal is less to board the enemy, but to sink them. Most damage to the opposing barge at the end of the game wins. I also believe that there's a similar scenario in one of the earlier leagues. Damned if I know which one, though.
