So its been a few years since I last painted any models. I started my first squad of Seraphim back in 2000, before I had any idea what I was actually doing. Its been ten years since then and, after being inspired by a friend's seven-year-old son, have decided to seriously pick it up again.
To begin my latest foray into the world of 40K, I bought Space Marine triplets, simple as simple gets. These three are to don Soul Drinkers' colors, in honor of the wonderful series of books by Ben Counter that my brother introduced me to. Hopefully they turn out decent.
From there, things can only get better, right? My Sisters still need a lot of work, and hopefully (pitiful paychecks allowing) I will be able to start some new Witch Hunters/Sisters of Battle and Chaos Space Marine projects.

Wish me luck

Pictures are coming soon. As of now, I only have one picture of the initial coat of Liche Purple on one of my Marines, but that's it. Right now the three are getting their shoulder pads, chest emblems, and other accents coated in a foundation of Tausept Ochre. Next, that gets covered with gold and then some touch ups and the bodies will be good to go.
Then I have to get up my motivation to buy the paint for the bolters and other shiny metal bits :/
Here is the picture:

Automatically Appended Next Post:
More to come in the next few days. My deadline is to have at least one of these guys done by Saturday morning. Said little seven-year-old who inspired me to get back into WH40K and I have an agreement that we will both bring our favorite model on Saturday to share with one another.
