Because I have too many projects already I am planning on doing a new army

I want to do something with menoth, as me and my regular opponent both do not play them and I like the knightly figures they have, as well as the synergies I see right now. My plan was to start with a caster and work from there. I set aside some money every once in a while to get something I think I need (nothing to expensive as I am doing this on a budget). I will not buy until I have paint on previously bought items, and hopefully some older figs . At least, that is the plan for now...

When I was at my flgs I saw Sevy and the hierophant for a good price and decided to buy them. They where the start of my list. From there I started thinking what I should add. and this is what I at least wanted in the army:

- I wanted 3 or so jacks. (2 small, 1 large or 2 large 1 small, as long as it has blessing of Venngeance)
- I wanted lot's of troops (temple flameguard are a must IMHO
- I wanted to have some firy attacks, as I think it is a cool mechanism
- I wanted to try and make it tier 4 (why the hell not )

The list I made with this was:
pSevy
- Hierophant
- Blessing of Vengeance
- Castigator
- Revenger or crusader (don't know yet, I like the node, but 6 point heavy is also good...)
10 temple flameguard
- temple flameguard UA
6 man templeflameguard
Min choir
Vassal
Wracks
Mechaniks

I think this would be a good first time list to play. Only things I am doubting on are the 3rd jack and if my choiche for solo's are any good. Any advice on the list would be appreciated.

For now I am starting paint on sevy and the hierophant and will buy blessing of vengeance next. After that probably the templeflameguard (min). then the next jack and the choir. That should get me a nice 15pointer by the end of the year or so...

It all looks good to me, my only thoughts would be if you really want a second arcnode after blessing check out the gaurdian. It gives you a second arc node and all the benifits of a heavy jack if you need one.

Just looked at T4 sevvy list, and its pretty damn cool

From what you have and want to do, i have a made a list going from 15->35pts of how to build it up into T4 etc. and hopefully keep prices equal between point levels :O

15points
Grand Scrutator Severius -6
Repenter 4
Blessing of Vengeance 7
Choir of Menoth (Leader and 3) 2
Temple Flameguard (Leader and 5) 4
Temple Flameguard Officer and Standard Bearer2
Hierophant 2

The repenter is a Cheap jack points and money wise i think its our cheapest jack. It has a flamethrower which if anyone survives, sets them on fire . The choir is there to help buff up the repenter aswell as the Blessing.
the repenter combined with choir buffs and pSevvy Eye of menoth. It is a DESTROYER OF WORLDZ.

The flameguard and UA will help start off your infantry base. the UA will give all the flameguard Auto-matic fire on their weapons.
Just what you like I think its a pretty powerful list and still fits in his tier list, but you just can't benefit from it yet.

To make the list 15pts Add the guardian and 3 wracks

I like the guardian with Sevvy because he is a heavy jack you need to destroy enemies with. And he also has an additional arc node on an Already tough model to deal with. so now you have 2 pretty hard to remove arc nodes and some Heavy backup!
The wracks are just to fill up that spare point and are really nice with Sevvy because having more focus is Fun!

Now to make that 25pt to 35pt might be the most expensive but will fill all the criteria you want.
You will need to bring up the original flameguard unit to 10 models by the addition of 4 more. Then buy another 10 Temple flameguard and another UA. sevvy tier list gives you a FREE UA!
Now you have two massive units of flameguard who all cause automatic fire. Combined with Eye of menoth. That is Sickeningly awesome
Also 2 vassal mechaniks.

This brings you to a T4 list at 35pts with LOTS of FIRE and FLAMEGUARD! 2 small jacks and 1 big jack and 2 mechanics to follow your arc nodes around

Making any army is expensive, but i think this is probably the best way to go about building it.
comes to £138 on maelstrom games :O
but over the course of months and such buying and painting 1 unit at a time.
getting to 15pts is around £55, 15>25 around £27, and 25>35 around £55 , could probably change the stuff around to even it out a bit more.

You can make cheaper armies but they wont be as awesome as this
Hope it helps!
Had i the money i would be making those lists asap XD unfortunatly i went with Kreoss and knights, but it suits me better then flameguard

In your head, screwing with your thoughts...

Maelstrom games don't have very good discounts. The eBay Store I bought my 1st batch of minis from (Macpac51) is selling $50 battleboxes for $35! Can't really comment on the list, because not only do I know nothing about Menoth, I've never fought them. Seriously I've fought every army now except for Menoth.

Actually maelstrom gives standard a nice discount (versus storeprices in the netherlands) plus free shipping (if ordering for 10 GBP or more) that is very easy to do. normally I buy in small batches and then everything except maelstrom gets expensive because they charge an arm and a leg in shipping...

Glad to read my first list I thought off is not a bad one. Only thing I am doubting about is the repenter, as I do not like the jack as much... Maybe I can convert it a bit for a better posture. I will have to check...

anyone else have a oppinion on this (rather cheap) 35 pts T4 list??
